Sports Premium Funding

In April 2013, the Government announced new funding of £150 million for physical education (PE) and sport. This funding should be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision.
Funding will be allocated to all primary schools and we expect to receive a little under £9,000 each year for the next 5 years.

Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

At our school we are planning to invest this additional funding in a sustainable development programme. At the end of the funding period our staff delivering PE will be more confident and competent AND our children will have better access to additional PE and Sport Opportunities.

As a whole school we will offer healthy lifestyle programmes and the more able performers will be given opportunities to develop their potential through links with external clubs and organisations.

Read the documents below for details of how we have spent the money so far and the impact it has had and to see what we are going to do with the money in the year ahead.
