Meet the Governors

Welcome to our Governors’ section.

The Governing Body is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the school. By doing this they can help the school to provide the best possible education for its pupils. They must comply with the requirements laid down by the Department for Education and Gloucester Education Authority.

The Governing Body is currently made up of the Executive Head Teacher, one staff governor elected by the staff, one co-opted governor chosen by the Governing Body to increase community involvement  and the three additional governors appointed by the County Council to share their considerable experience with the rest of the governors.

All Governing Body meetings are  attended by the Clerk to Governors, who keeps the minutes and advises the governors of any changes in legislation.

Please feel free too make contact with the governors if you have any problems or queries, either directly or by Email on: governors@moatprimaryschool.co.uk.

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities, committee membership and terms of appointment for each Governor, as well as a Register of Governor Interests and the training they have received
